Lynn Civil War Living History Encampment, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June 2016

The Salem Zouaves will participate in a living-history encampment as part of the city of Lynn’s Civil War programs.  The encampment will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June on Lynn Common.  Saturday’s program will be followed by a franks-and-beans supper at Lynn’s historic G.A.R. hall:

The General Frederick W. Lander Post No. 5 Grand Army of the Republic Museum, at 58 Andrew Street in Lynn, will be the site of a G.A.R. Bean Supper, hosted by the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.  This fund-raising event recreates monthly bean suppers that were held by the G.A.R. for area veterans in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  As an added bonus, the Hall will be open for tours during the supper.  Tickets are $10 per person, and are available at the door.

Most of us, I think, will be there.  Join us!
